March 6th, 2010 - Meeting new people...

I met a couple of amazing people today; Ken and Judy M.  who have signed on to supply key components for our Fly Tying Mirror

In the two hours I met with them I learned that Ken has been a commercial pilot, an accomplished craftsman, woodworker, inventor, and chip carver.  Judy is quite the baker, having taken top prize in all six categories of a major baking competion.  Judy has also met with the chefs of the White House, rescued a German Shepherd named Rex that only spoke Spanish (that made me laugh) and turned him into a wonderful and talented member of the family.  Together they have ground telescope mirrors in their basement with their sons, handed out bags of tomatoes to passing cars in front of their home when their twenty-five tomato plants produced more than they could handle, are very active in their local guild, and create toys for children in need.

As I was leaving Ken and Judy said, "Yes, we have had all of this, but never any money."  After pausing for just a second they added, "Maybe we had all of this, because we didn't have any money."

Today I decided to become a little more like Ken and Judy.
